The EAC consists of a 10 digit number with the department (cols 1-2), division (cols 3-4), branch (cols 5-6), section (cols 7-8), and unit (cols 9-10) fields and is structured according to the University organizational charts. The Department code (first 2 digits) of the EAC is always “22" signifying “University of Hawaii. Abolished EACs are kept for historical purposes. - PeopleSoft does not store the leading 22 as part of the EAC. The EAC exists as as three separate values for DIV, BRN and SEC. Each of these is 3-digits long.
