Overview

The UH Group Store is populated with data from official sources such as Banner, PeopleSoft, RCUH, SECE and UHIMS.  

Use this resource to understand the store groups available for designing the Basis for your grouping.  Store groups can be combined using set theory to address complex requirements if needed.

  • <COLL> is the Banner college code
  • <departmentID> is an 8-character code from the PeopleSoft HR system which identifies a department in the org chart.
  • <college eac> is the first 4 digits of the EAC, used as a super group of all EAC groups for that college
    • For example, there is no actual 22110000 EAC that is attached to a person in PeopleSoft, but we can offer a store group for all groups whose EAC begins with 2211 as hawaii.edu:store:hris:eac:2211
    • hawaii.edu:store:hris:eac:2211 is a group that esentially represents Manoa's College of Arts & Humanities by being a group of these EAC groups:

  • <COURSE-ALPHA> the code for the course subject, e.g. ECON in ECON 101
  • <COURSE-NUMBER> the course number, e.g. 101 in ECON 101
  • <CRN> uniquely identifies each course being offered, even across sections.
  • <DEGREE> is the degree being pursued (e.g. BA, MA, PHD)
  • <DEPT> is the Banner department code
  • <eac> is an actual PeopleSoft HR EAC value, e.g. 22503100 is for ITS
  • <INST> is the Banner institution code, e.g. MAN, KAP, HON
  • <LEVEL> has values such as UG (undergraduate) and GR (graduate)
  • <MAJOR--CONC—CAMPUS> is most of the time just the major as stored in Banner, but if applicable, it can include the concentration (preceded by two hyphens) and Banner's "campus," which usually refers to one of the ten campuses plus other codes, such as those used for distance learning.
  • <org> are the same values used by UHIMS Events - Message Specs
  • <role> are the same values used by UHIMS Events - Message Specs
  • <role combinations> are useful combinations of <role> values, e.g.
    • faculty+staff
    • faculty (encompasses all faculty.* values)

  • <TERM> is an actual term code, e.g. 201410 = Fall 2015
  • <TERM combinations> exist for the first 4 and first 5 digits in <TERM>, e.g.
    • 20141 includes all <TERM> that begin with 20141 (e.g. 201410, 201411, 201413), e.g.
      • hawaii.edu:store:sis:registration:20141:enrolled
    • 2014 includes all <TERM> that begin with 2014 (e.g. 201410, 201411, 201413, 201430, etc.), e.g.
