IAM production environments will be receiving quarterly updates and patches as described below.
Please read carefully, some of the planned work may impact you.
Saturday, October 19, 6:00 – 8:00 AM
- Production CAS
- OS updates will be applied
- Java will be updated to 1.8.0_212
- Tomcat will be updated to 8.5.43
- This should be transparent since the service is load balanced.
- Production Shibboleth
- OS updates will be applied.
- Java will be updated to 1.8.0_212
- Tomcat will be updated to 8.5.43
- This should be transparent since the service is load balanced.
Sunday, October 20, 6:00 – 8:00 AM
- Production Grouper (UH Groupings)
- OS and database updates will be applied.
- Java will be updated to 1.8.0_212
- Tomcat will be updated to 8.5.43
- Production LDAP
- OS and LDAP server patches will be applied.
- This should be transparent since the service is load balanced.
- You will need to restart your application if it maintains a persistent connection.
Sunday, October 20, 6:00 – 9:30 AM
- Production RabbitMQ (UH Message Broker, UHIMS Events)
- OS updates will be applied.
- The UH Message Broker will be upgraded to a clustered environment.
- You will need to restart your application if it maintains a persistent connection.
- Other services such as username requests, password changes, and other administrative applications which rely on our services may also be unavailable while our services are undergoing maintenance.
Quarterly patching is a necessary endeavor. We appreciate your patience and cooperation.
