Create a Google Sheet for ITS Staff and Students to sign up
Usually mavalent will create the google sheet if you ask nicely. Once the google sign up sheet is created, copy/save the shareable link as you will need to include that in the Tournament Signup Email.
If Mike refuses to make the Google Sheet, or if you feel creative and want to make your own signup sheet, the basic columns of information to include are: name, UH username, phone number, and notes. Also feel free to use the following template (https://docs.google.com/a/hawaii.edu/spreadsheets/d/1kw4RsjOeltpWdv33SmSXFFduDv82QEQIxNdjy0ps0p8/edit?usp=sharing) and modify the title (i.e. [year] ITC TT Doubles Tournament.) Note: keep the title of the Google Sheet generic (i.e. ITC TT Doubles Tournament, not Sign Up Sheet) as sub sheets labeled "matches" and "results" will be included later.
Update the ITC Table Tennis Committee Google Group
- Update committee member list (need to ask Vernon for ownership)
- Email group for any internal communications
- Direct comments/questions/concerns from tournament participants to the group email (itc-table-tennis-commit-grp@hawaii.edu)
Tournament Signup Email
- Signup email should be sent to both its_all (its_all@lists.hawaii.edu) and its_students (its_students@lists.hawaii.edu)Â
- Feel free to modify the signup email that was used for the Doubles tournament for Spring 2016
It's that time of the year again to dust off your paddles and participate in our second annual ITS Doubles Table Tennis Tournament!
The ITC Table Tennis Tournament Committee is very excited to announce that this year's doubles tournament will be unlike last year's doubles tournament - every week you will be partnered with a new teammate and each match a team wins will net both players a certain amount of points. Once all round robin games are played, we will match players that posses high point totals with players that possess low point totals to be a team for the play offs.
The tournament duration is from April 4th to May 6th concluding with a potluck event with final matches. Round robin games will be played from April 4th - April 29th and playoff games will be played during the week of May 2nd - 6th. If you are interested in participating, please fill in your info in the signup sheet: [insert google doc link for signups].

And like always, our mission is to bring staff/students together from different groups to interact in a non-work related setting and hopefully have some fun along the way! So regardless of your skill level, please feel free to participate and meet some new people!
