The Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) test environment (idp-test.its.hawaii.edu) will be upgraded from version 4.2.x to 5.1.x on Thursday 2024-06-27 @ 09:00.
This is a major upgrade, built from the ground up with essentially new infrastructure.
The primary goal for this upgrade is backwards compatibility with the current 4.2 deployment.
If you use our IdP for SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) services, we highly encourage you to test against the upgraded IdP test environment.
The IdP production environment will be upgraded at a time to be determined.
The IP address for idp-test.its.hawaii.edu will change as a result of the upgrade.
If you encounter an error along the lines of being unable to reach the page or find the idp-test host, your system may have the old IP address cached.
If this is the case, then clearing or flushing the affected host's DNS cache should resolve this.
