Notes

1. For faculty and staff this attribute is displayed in the UH online directory simply as "Name."

1.   The "Name of Record" shown below it refers to Common Name.
2. For WPMS the respective department contact enters a "Name", which is subsequently displayed in LDAP. It can be an unofficial name and may include a nickname.
3. WPMS department contacts provide updates and corrections as needed.

5. For students with a preferred first name in the Banner student information system, the display name is composed of this preferred first name followed by their last name.
6. Not every person has a displayName. Consider instead givenName, sn and cn, or logic to fall back to these if there is no displayName.
7. The displayName is provided for the UH Google domain use.  If there is no displayName for a specific person, the Name of Record is used instead.
