If you want to restrict who can submit documents for your application by affiliation, untick "Create documents in this app" for All Authenticated Users. Create a role and set the appropriate affiliations. In the screenshots below, this application allows any staff and UH Manoa faculty to create documents.

Faculty and Staff are synchronized against UHIMS daily. Students are synchronized on the 1st of the month because of the sheer number of students to process. Student synchronization generally completes by mid afternoon on the 1st of the month.
