Community Overview for UH Login Requests

Community Overview for UH Login Requests

Summary

If this is your first time requesting a UH Login integration request for a 3rd party cloud service, the process is formalized and there are several required steps.

Two-Step Process

  1. Obtain Data Governance approval - there is a form for this

  2. Request UH Login integration - there is another form for this.

Step 2 depends on step 1.

Step 1 - Data Governance Approval

Whenever UH releases data to a 3rd party, DGO approval is required.

  • UH Login releases a small amount of personal information to the 3rd party upon a successful authentication. As a result, a UH Login integration request for a 3rd party requires a DGO approval.

The following secured DGO resource can be used to obtain DGO approval.

Note that the IAM team can work on your request in parallel with a pending DGO approval request to keep the time of actual implementation as short as possible.

  • Typically a member of the IAM team will work with the provider’s technical support.

  • Keep in mind that the integration cannot go into production until DGO approval is obtained.

Step 2 - Request UH Login Integration

The IAM team is required to keep a history of the requests, therefore we have implemented a Kuali Build form. Please use the following form to submit your request.

If you don’t yet have all of the information to complete the form, go ahead and submit it anyway. We will work with you as needed to obtain whatever additional information we might need.
