IdP Production Environment Upgrade 2024-08-18

The Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) production environment (idp.hawaii.edu) was upgraded from version 4.2 to 5.1 on Sunday 2024-08-18 @ 06:00.

• This is a major upgrade, built from the ground up with essentially new infrastructure.

• The primary goal for this upgrade is backwards compatibility with the previous 4.2 deployment.

• If you use our IdP for SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) services, we highly encourage you to test against the upgraded IdP test environment prior to each announced upgrade.
